Hidden Gems: Our Favorite Restaurants in Barcelona (2019)

In the enchanting tapestry of Barcelona's culinary scene, we have found gastronomic treasures that are close to our hearts. These wonderful restaurants are not just places to eat, they are portals to a world where food is more than just sustenance. With every meal, you become part of a symphony of flavours, an artistic masterpiece and a celebration of life itself. Find out more and don't forget to save!

The shrine is located in the unassuming Raval district. It's hidden from the eyes of tourists. It hides its treasures for those who know what they are looking for. For Katia Quezo, it is the most vivid gastronomic experience. The chef, Tony Romero, is a young genius. He has worked in Michelin restaurants and trained at El Bulli, which has repeatedly been voted the best restaurant in the world. Take the tasting menu and say goodbye to earthy notions of food. Here are three masterpieces from the tasting menu. And trust me, this is the bomb!

The evening costs between €50 and €120 for two people.
Address: Rambla del Raval, 45

If you like new things, this is the place to go! Restaurant critics often come here because the dishes are exceptional and complex. On the edge of molecular cuisine. Ideas, flavours, textures - it is all an exciting adventure and an unforgettable dining experience!

In the evening there are two tasting menus: a long one (9 courses) for €64 and a short one (6 courses) for €48 per person. The price is high, but well worth it!

A pleasant and trendy establishment by the famous chef Paco Perez on Barcelona's most fashionable avenue, Paseo de Gracia. This is a gourmet restaurant, but the prices are reasonable. They offer a variety of egg dishes (who would doubt that), tapas, meat and fish. We tried their omelettes, sroquetas (a must in Spain), steak tartare and absolutely incredible guacamole! Interesting interior, charming details and dimmed lights make you smile, relax and enjoy :)

Dishes from €9 to €25

Recommended for organic food lovers and all other food lovers. Delicious vegetarian dishes for lunch and dinner, "made only with fresh and natural products" (as they say). I've never had any doubts. The lunchtime dishes are always a pleasant surprise, and the burrata (which we have ordered three times) is simply gorgeous - fresh, with a hint of cream and slightly sour milk! Whichever way you look at it, the product is an indicator.

Dishes from €8 to €20
Address: C. Dr Fleming, 15

A meat lover's paradise: ribeye, steaks, carpaccio and, of course, steak tartar! The steak tartar here is the best in Barcelona, according to local gourmets! And we agree, because we haven't found a better one yet.  There is an excellent wine list, lots of wood in the interior and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. It all adds to the charm and even homely feel of the restaurant. The desserts here are also top notch, and you must try the yoghurt gelato. Orgasmically delicious!

Dishes from €12 to €60
Address: C.Casanova 209

A relatively new place with a charming terrace and interesting cuisine. All the food is labelled organic and prepared in a way that makes it easy to go vegan. The service is sometimes slow, but the portions are large and hearty. Pictured here is Fussili Espelta, the best spiralis I've ever had. With trout, peas and a slightly acidic sauce. Only my mother's flotsam pasta is cooler!

Dishes from 12 € to 20 €
