A Hidden Paradise: Exploring the Coves of the Costa Brava

For me, the beauty of the landscape and the feeling of unspoilt nature are more important than comfort, which is why I love exploring the secluded coves of the Costa Brava. They are worth visiting to switch off, listen to the sound of the waves and be with yourself... You often have to climb difficult rocky slopes, carry food and walk through hilly terrain.

But it's a great adventure, isn't it?

Sharing with you unique places that seem to be in plain sight, in famous resort towns, but few people actually know about them!

The area around Palamós has, in my opinion, the most picturesque places to relax. Cala del Crit, between Calella de Palafrugell and Palamós - even if you drive, this and other neighbouring coves are within walking distance. Maybe that's why it's so uncrowded and easy to find a little secluded beach. We recently stayed here and it was amazing! Soft sand, the sound of the waves, starry skies overhead - we didn't even need a tent, just a sleeping bag and a warm jumper.

Sala Montgo in L'Escala - love it and love it again. For me, summer can't be complete without a walk in Cala Montgo. A scattering of tiny rocky coves where you can always find 'yours' - in the shade of the cedars or directly in the sun. People come here with masks and snorkels - the water is so clear and there are so many strange sea creatures. It is interesting to spend a whole day on these beaches: admiring yachts, inhaling the sweet smell of the cedars and having a picnic on huge boulders by the water's edge.

Cala Futadera in Tossa de Mar - if you're up for a bit of exercise before a refreshing swim, then a holiday in this cove is for you! The view from the top is already impressive. The green of the pine trees that slope down to the water, the pink of the rocky cliffs, the bright turquoise near the shore and the deep blue in the depths... The descent to the cove is about 300 steep "steps", but all the effort of climbing and descending is rewarded by the clear water and the intimacy of a private beach.

Les Muscleres Petites near L'Escala - I love this place because of the picturesque arch of stones where the waves crash, roar and create a refreshing waterfall. There is also a comfortable wide beach with fine sand and a gentle entrance to the sea.

Sala Sa Tuna in Begur - the waves caress the miniature houses huddled together. White yachts float in the depths like a school of large fish. The trees jealously cover the bay of Sa Tuna with a lush cap... It is a small and pleasant beach, easy to reach and with all the services close by.

Let these places become your plan for the weekend!
