This is a truly historic place in the heart of Barcelona, near the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar! This café has a remarkable heritage: the same family has been roasting coffee in the El Born neighbourhood since 1919. Despite its unwavering commitment to tradition, Café El Magnífico is far from being an antiquated relic.

Over the years, its repertoire of roasted beans has expanded exponentially! In 2019, the brand created a catalogue of coffees from more than 18 countries that customers can buy by the bag. In addition to this dizzying array of coffee offerings, there is a daily changing selection, as well as the daily ritual of brewing through a filter.

From a 20-square-metre shop to a warehouse of more than a thousand square metres, 18 spots in Barcelona and 40 shops across Spain. It sounds like a cliché, but that's how Syra Coffe, a Barcelona-based start-up, began.

Syra offers a wide range of seasonal coffees that are 100% traceable and socially and environmentally sustainable.  In fact, it is one of the busiest coffee chains in the city, with queues of eager customers often snaking out the door at peak times.

Beyond the delicious coffee, Syra boasts warm, inviting spaces with natural wood accents and lush houseplants. Rows of vacuum-sealed coffee bags adorn the shelves, creating an ambience that elevates the entire coffee-drinking experience to new heights of enjoyment.
